About The Home
The Layton house was built in the year 1900 for Harry and Emma Layton, ancestors shared by many
Gila Valley residents and early pioneers
of the Gila Valley. This stunning family
home started out as a two-room
brick house. Additions were made
in 1916. Today, the property holds a
spacious 7 bedroom, 5 bathroom home
with a charming carriage house. This home
has been owned by the Layton family for 120 years!
